In Phen Theory, mass is not a fundamental property. It doesn’t exist by default, it emerges from tension. Specifically, from projection that gets trapped. A Phenom (ΦΝΩ) is a point , no size, no volume, no physical extent. It cannot grow, but it can ingest energy.
When a photon Phield Phibre is intercepted by the Philter, it begins to fold in on itself, becoming compressed within the point-like structure of the Phenom. That compression becomes matter. This compression is not abstract - it’s quantised. The smallest unit of scalar photon compression is called a Phress, symbolised as: 工 — Phress (The symbol 工, from the Japanese kanji “kō,” means “work”, representing compressed light doing work. It resembles a press or coffee tamper or structured force.)
A Phress is not the energy itself, it is the unit of measure for how much projection is being held inside a Phenom. It tells us the charge level of the point — how much light is being stored under tension.
You can think of the Phenom (ΦΝΩ) as a battery. It doesn’t expand, stretch, or change size, just like a physical battery doesn’t swell when it’s full of charge.
The projection (⚟) is like electricity. As projection flows into the battery, it doesn’t disappear, it gets compressed, folded into the structure. The more energy stored, the more resistance builds inside the Phenom.
The Phress (工) is the charge reading. It doesn’t do the storing instead it tells you how much is stored.
Projection becomes compression. Energy becomes matter. But it’s all the same light either folded or free.
Unlike kilograms or electron-volts which are human-defined abstractions, the Phress is rooted in the actual cosmological cause of mass. It’s not a unit we impose on mass after we see it. It’s a direct measure of how much projection is being held, the actual structure of mass itself. That makes it the first causal unit of mass structurally tied to projection physics.
A Phenom does not exist in isolation. In the Phenomena’s matrix, each Phenom is connected to others via Tension Phibres extending through the lattice. Each of these Phibres carries the potential to deliver one photon’s worth of tension. When multiple Phibres pull inward, the Phress increases:

(Mass equals number of units of trapped projection)
But real-world configurations are rarely that neat. Some Phibres may be tightly compressed, others extremely stretched. The actual number of active Phresses may be fewer or unevenly distributed eg. The very edge of the Phenomena has Phenomenon that contain edge Phenoms with only 4 Philter phibres. This leads to tension asymmetry, directional compression, & a natural explanation for scalar imbalance across the Phenomena. This is also what’s responsible for the wobble of the membranes, varying waveforms, & more or less dense regions of the Phenomena such as Stars & Black Holes amongst other things.
Mass is compressed light.
It is tension, folded inward, until resistance becomes real.
From the inside, it looks like compression.
From the outside, it behaves like resistance.
Same structure, viewed from two directions.

M = n × 工 — full scalar charge in the Phenomena
This is the core idea. The simplification of everything.
A projected photon is energy.
A compressed photon is matter.
But both are the same light just in different scalar states.
“Light becomes matter. Matter is stored light.”
This is the First Identity of Phen Theory. It reduces the apparent complexity of mass-energy duality to a single causal transformation: ⚟ = 工
Not an approximation. Not a shortcut. A structural truth.
Einstein’s famous equation E = mc² tells us that energy & mass are interchangeable. But in Phen Theory, we go further. We show why they are the same thing:
Energy (E) is a photon in motion: ⚟
Mass (m) is a photon in compression: 工
c², the speed of light squared, becomes 1 because in scalar units, space & time are already built from 1 Phurlon per 1 Phlash (no conversion needed between joules & kilograms etc)
So E = mc² becomes: E = m × 1²
⚟ = 工
1 = 1
It’s not simplistic — it’s elegant. It collapses arbitrary units into a single unified state: Energy & mass are not two things. They are projection held or released.
Phen Theory doesn’t replace E = mc² — it completes it.
It shows that mass is not a thing, it’s a condition.
It shows that energy doesn’t need to be extracted, it just needs to be unPhurled.
Let’s lean into pure speculation for a moment. What happens if this chain reaction of Phress compression goes unchecked?
Perhaps it leads to localised super-dense states, where certain Phenom grow so massively tensioned they begin to pull their neighbouring Phenom inward, distorting their shared Phurlons & increasing tension exponentially. The result? What we interpret as black holes are regions where Phenomenon become so tightly compressed that no projections appear to escape. No visible light. No readable data. Just pure scalar resistance.
If the membrane of the Phenomena is like a crinkly map, then a black hole is a piece of that map that’s been scrunched up & put into a 100,000 kg press. You can no longer see what’s inside. You might still feel the pull. And technically, you could unfold it but it would take immense time, effort, & scalar reversal.
Black holes & stars aren’t opposites, they’re mirror sides of the same point in space.
They are polarities of projection. One absorbs light and mass, the other ejects it. One folds inward, the other unfolds outward. From one side, a star. From the other, a black hole.
If a star is the body, then a black hole is the heart, a dense core pumping scalar mass back inward. These aren’t separate objects, but orientations of observation. They are one thing, folded in two directions.
The membranes of Phenomena are not flat, they’re textured. Think of them like crinkled maps: flexible, wavy sheets stretched across scalar space. In Phen Theory, what we often think of as “a dimension” is really two-sided. A layered surface that can fold, pinch, and twist. Let’s focus on just one layer for now.
In the Mass section, we explored how scalar mass builds when Phress (工) are compressed into a Phenom. The more Phress compressed, the more resistance it has. That resistance increases pull — shortening the Philter Phibres, tightening Phurlons, & drawing neighbouring Phenom inward.
Each Phress pulls in another. A chain reaction. This creates a pinch point, a region so dense with scalar tension that even projection can’t escape. To us, it appears as a black hole. And it’s not just dark, it’s curved. If you were an ant crawling along the membrane, you’d reach a steep drop at the pinch. Not because the hole is sucking you in but because the geometry has folded beneath you. You can’t see inside because you’ve reached the horizon of scalar curvature.
Nothing is destroyed. Nothing disappears. It’s all still there just folded in.
Now flip the membrane. From the other side of the pinch, the same location now rises into a peak. The Phenom here are the opposite: small mass, long Phurlons, low tension. Light flows freely. Energy projects outward. This peak appears to us as a star, a fountain of projection.
One side pulls light in. The other pushes it out. One folds down. The other folds up.
From this perspective, the universe doesn’t contain a scattered mix of stars & black holes. It contains a symmetric fabric: equal pinch points, some rising & some falling, randomly distributed through the Phenomena. And when either collapses like the black hole exhausts its tension, or the star burns through its projection then the pinch flattens. The region returns to a stretched membrane. Or, if the conditions reverse, the fold may invert: star becomes hole, or hole becomes star, depending on where you’re standing.
Imagine that inside every star is a black hole, not metaphorically, but geometrically. The black hole is the scalar core, the inward tension centre. The star is the outer light. The two are connected through the pinch. The star ejects mass outward, but that projection creates the inward tension that feeds the black hole. The black hole compresses mass inward, and that scalar resistance fuels the star’s projection.
The star is what you see. The black hole is what it’s made of.
In Phen Theory, gravity isn’t a force. It doesn’t radiate, ripple, or attract. It emerges from within as tension between massive Phenom, mediated by a stretchable structure called the Phurlon (⟷).

Mass in Phen Theory is made from Phress (工) - a compressed photon (Light Energy) held inside a Phenom a 1P object with no way to expand. Which is formed from a Phield Phibre passing through the Philters mesh & starting the process of Phress accumulation. As Phress accumulates, the Phenom develops resistance to deformation as a kind of scalar pressure. This resistance begins to pull in the threads connecting it to neighbouring Phenom: the Philter Phibres (⤚⤙) & their stretched scalar length, the Phurlons. As Phress (mass) builds, those Phurlons shorten. And the shortening is what we experience as gravity. It is also responsible for the buckling of membranes & regions of the Phenomena gaining more density (High Phress regions) & less dense areas (Low Phress regions). As well as the formation of Stars & their inverse - black holes
Imagine two small balls connected by a stretchable band. The tighter the band, the closer they’re drawn. But in Phen Theory, you’re not pulling the ends. The balls are swallowing the band from all sides.The more Phress they store (compressed band) the shorter the connection between them becomes. This shortening is gravity. Nothing is being pulled, the space between them is just collapsing. That scalar band is the Phurlon. The measure of the shortest distance between 2P akin to a stretchable Planck Length, that comes in 2 forms as Phield Phibres & Philter Phibres but all are stretched or compressed Photons which in turn are transformed into matter via the acuumulation of Phress. In & of itself the Photon has no Phress (mass) until interaction with the Philter (Phibres) it is just light energy which was a division or projection from Potential Energy (The Phen)
The Phurlon always contains 1 unit of energy (1 Photon's worth) but it's length can stretch or shrink depending on the Phress at either end swallowing or releasing it.
When the Phurlon is long, the energy is diluted & tension is low.
When the Phurlon is short, energy is concentrated & tension is high.
This tension is distributed through the Phenomena’s mesh, an invisible matrix of Phurlons & Phibres connecting every Phenom to its twelve nearest neighbours in a tight lattice. The result isn’t force. It’s structural tension. A scalar negotiation between mass and distance.
Gravity is not a thing, not a force/Phorce, it’s an effect.
It’s the external expression of 1P internal resistance to compression.
It’s the witnessing of the shrinking of space between dense Phenom, not a force pulling.
It’s the tightening or loosening of Phibres across the Phenomen's mesh.
And in reverse this 1P battery of sorts (the Phenom), releases it's Phress as energy as it lets out the compressed Photon energy & in turn reduces tension on it's connected Phibres lengthening them, which in turn reduces the Phress of the Phenom in its vacinity. These rippling inward & outward chain reactions happen in cycles of Phlash (c = ⟷ / ⚟ᶠ see Phlogic for more info)

Gravity isn’t pulling, it’s the space between that’s shrinking
Not a literal description just a visualisation
Imagine two giant spheres, floating in the void. Each one has people inside, & between them stretches a long rope, not an ordinary rope, but a glowing thread of light. This light rope is more than just a connector, it is energy. And the amount of rope coiled up inside each sphere defines its mass. One sphere has only a little rope pulled in. Not much energy stored or much mass. The other sphere has a lot of rope wound into it. A dense coil of light. High energy & high mass.
Now here’s the twist: there’s only so much rope. If one sphere pulls more in, the other must let some go or else get dragged toward it. To remain still, one must give as the other takes. This exchange of light rope determines how far apart the spheres can be. If both have pulled in a lot & if both have high mass, they sit close together. If both have released more & of lighter mass, they drift further apart. This changing distance between them is what we experience as gravity. But gravity, in this view, isn’t a force pulling them together. It’s an effect, the structural consequence of how much light rope each sphere holds. There’s no mysterious pull. Just a constant rope under tension stretched across the void & the way it’s coiled or uncoiled creates what we see as gravity.
Now imagine the people inside the spheres can wind or unwind the rope. The faster they do it, the more they can control the illusion of motion. A person who could modulate this rope fast enough would feel no gravity at all. They’d stay in place while everything else moves. What’s changing isn’t their position, it’s their mass: the amount of energy they’ve stored in rope form.
The amount of light rope stored inside the sphere is its mass. But that same rope, when let out, becomes energy. There’s no conversion, just change of state. So when we say E = mc², what we really mean is: Energy = Mass, mediated by time.
In this model, we don’t need c². Why? Because light is the unit. It defines length, energy, and time all at once. The only thing we need is the rope itself & its quantity, its tension, its structure.
Time is not something separate. It is the lengths of rope you pull in or out. Each stretch of rope is a moment. One arm-length in = one moment forward. Turn around & let it out then that’s another moment. The direction changes, but time keeps adding up.
You can’t go backward in time, because you can’t remove rope from the structure of reality. You can only change your relation to it, reversing direction while still adding length. That’s why the equals sign matters: Mass = Energy or Energy = Mass. Either way, the rope stays connected, and time keeps growing.
Now zoom in to the quantum scale. Inside a single unit of the universe - a voxel & Phenomenon, there are just two points connected by one light rope: a single Phurlon, one Projection Phibre, one Photo of energy. That’s the maximum. No more can fit. But when many of these units stack & when Phenomenon pile up in dense clusters, they can store more rope. More tension. More light compressed inward. This is mass at scale.
In such dense regions, the Phurlons become short. The bodies appear as a single object. The light ropes are so tightly packed they act like one mass. And where Phurlons are long & slack where the structure is thin there’s no visible object at all. Just apparent emptiness, stretched structure, low mass. Still rope just less tension.
Gravity is what we see when tension accumulates. It’s not a force. It’s not a warping of space. It’s the structural result of how much light rope a body has absorbed. Every ball of matter in the universe is a bundle of coiled light. Every distance between bodies is a stretch of that rope. And time is simply how many lengths of that rope has been played out or reeled in.

Phlow is Phen Theory’s early-stage interpretation of what standard physics calls the electromagnetic force. At this point, only the magnetic-like aspect has begun to emerge through structural visualisation — particularly through the discovery of a looping scalar flow path through the Phenomenon known as the Phlow Path.
While traditional physics sees electromagnetism as the interaction of charges and magnetic fields, Phen Theory reimagines it as a form of scalar tension flow through specific routes in the Phenomenon’s structure — not through particles or fields in space, but through the relational geometry of the Phenom themselves.
One day, while casually tracing the Philter Phibres between the six outer Phenom, I noticed something intriguing:
“If you follow the Philter Phibres around the Phenomenon, you can circumnavigate it entirely without doubling back or entering the centre Phen.”
This loop follows the path:
G⁺ → B⁻ → R⁺ → G⁻ → B⁺ → R⁻ → G⁺
This cycle:
Alternates scalar polarity: + → − → + → −…
Visits all six outer Phenom
Completely avoids the central Phen and both the ProPhace & NegPhace
It felt important like discovering a kind of natural, unbroken scalar circuit embedded in the geometry itself.
Like a magnetic field loop: Traditional magnetism shows field lines looping from North to South, flipping in the middle. The Phlow Path behaves similarly but does so through geometry, not space.
Like a river flowing around a mountain: The ProPhace and NegPhace are like peaks, they generate tension but the flow moves around them, not through them.
The MesPhaces appear to be the primary channels of the Phlow Path.
The PhlipPhaces (like Dawn and Dusk) act as pivot points where the scalar flow turns or flips.
The Pro/Neg Phaces appear to act like poles & sources of tension, not part of the flow.
Certain transitions are notably absent from the Phlow Path:
No direct flow from B⁻ → G⁻, R⁻ → R⁺ etc. etc.
These forbidden routes suggest the presence of resistance zones, or areas where flow would collapse or short-circuit.
“It seems the Phlow Path only moves through alternating-polarity triangles (MesPhaces), and never within a single polarity zone.”

Pro/Neg Phaces ≈ Magnetic monopoles or scalar poles
PhlipPhaces ≈ Field inversion nodes (where polarity flips)

Phlow is currently a working hypothesis. It is a circuit woven through the relational geometry of the Phenomenon. It offers an elegant visual model for something akin to magnetism, but built entirely from polarity-balanced flows, not classical particles
Further exploration of electrical behaviours will come later. For now, this page serves as a personal & structural record of a concept still unfolding.
There are not many different types of energy transmission. Particles & current are illusions of observational directionality & there are just three distinct wave types. Each travels in a unique direction through the Phenomena Matrix, shaped by the structural orientation of the octahedral stack.
In Phen Theory, all transmission occurs via Phield Phibres, but when Phenomena stack together, their Phibres stretch or contract depending on the tension with their neighbours. This creates variations across the Phenomena’s matrix. When observed across many Phenomenon, these threads appear to ripple in one of three directional modes creating the illusion of different energy types.
What we call iRradiation, Mediation, & Radiation are simply waves in different orientations across the Phlats of the Phield:
iRradia → iRradiation Waves
Near end / concentrated / focused / high energy (Gamma, X-ray, etc.)
Media → Mediation Waves
Mid body / visible - the "Goldilocks" zone, more balanced
Enables transition (Mediation) from irradia to radia. E.g. energy Phlow through Phenomena transitioning to energy Phlow through matter or ionizing to non-ionizing Emination (Visible/Light)
Radia → Radiation Waves
Far end / expanded / diffused / low energy (Radio/Microwave etc)
These are not three versions of the same wave. They are three structurally identical phenomena, but each one travels through the matrix in a distinct alignment with a specific axis of (B) , (G) or (B). Their visible differences come only from the observer’s relationship to the direction of projection.
These waveforms aren’t objects instead they’re the result of how stacked Phenomena stretch & deform across the mesh of scalar tension. In this way, Phen Theory offers a unified explanation for all apparent energy transfer: it is not carried through space, but rather by the structure of space itself.
The Phurlon explains why long wave lengths (Red side) have the lowest energy as that’s when it’s stretched the most, when the Phurlon or Phield Phibre's stretched photon body has it's energy most diluted. In reality it has the same energy just spread over a longer Phurlon. The effect is like being hit by a sideways spear rather than its tip. Same spear totally different effect. Sideways its slower, easier to see & does less damage as it's energy is spread over a larger area. The same happens in reverse as we shrink the Phulon towards the "blue" end of the scale. We end up with gamma like arrow beams, go even further & it's a Photon, even further still & energy (Photon) merges with Potential & becomes the Phen again
CMB & The Truman Limit
Just some speculation on the CMB - Cosmic Microwave Background. In PT this would be the freshest new light on the perimeter of the Phenomena aproximately 13.8 billion years ago. Not the oldest light. But because we know that it took 13.8 billion years to reach us, then we also know since then the Phenomena has had the same amount of time to keep Phractilating or building outwards. So if by some absolute miracle we were at the centre of the Phenomenon, the absolute minumum age of the Phenomena is 27.6 billion years old. But seeing as we are probably not at the centre then it could be much older. So we can know the youngest possible age for the Phenomena but we cant know the oldest possible as it's beyound our current observation. I have called this the Truman Limit. Based on the movie Truman Show & how as he grows & technology improves, the set expands with an ocean between him & the wall that forms the limit of his observable universe.
