I should probably mention upfront that when I first saw this I had only a vague, embarrassingly primitive notion of what relativity actually was. I wasn't looking for it. I was just following the structure of the Phenomena & asking what happens when Phurlons are different lengths in different regions. & then it hit me. Hang on. I think I just found the reason relativity exists. Or at least what I thought it was. I didn't set out to explain relativity. I just saw a structure & got curious about what it could do. I don't claim this is. But rather what if. & what if the universe is like a film?
Picture a frame-by-frame projection where each tick of the Phlash cycle is one frame & each Phurlon is the distance between Phenom.
The frame rate never changes. The Phlash cycle is constant everywhere in the Phenomena, the same tick, the same tempo, the same projector speed from the densest region of a black hole's belly to the loneliest stretched edge of the observable universe.
But the distance between the Phenom does change. & that changes everything.
In regions of high Phress, the Phurlons contract. The Phenom are drawn closer together. Each frame shows them having moved only a tiny distance. To an observer in a lower Phress region watching in, things appear to move slowly. In regions of low Phress, the Phurlons stretch. The Phenom are further apart. Each frame shows them having leapt a much greater distance. To an observer in a higher Phress region looking out, things appear to move fast.
This is Phluidity ≋. Not a force. Not a field. It's how fast & smoothly things appear to move through the Phenomena, determined entirely by the local Phurlon distance relative to where the observer is standing.
Think of Gumby. When the animator wants Gumby to run, they move him further across the set between each frame. When they want him to walk, they move him smaller distances each frame. The TV plays at the same frame rate either way. The audience sees the same smooth motion either way. What changes is only the perceived speed caused by distance between positions. In PT, Phress is the animator. Phluidity ≋ is the movie.
Two ideas had been sitting in my head for a while. Separately they were interesting. Together they turned into something I wasn't expecting.
The first came from the structure of the Phenomena itself. The Phlash cycle is the heartbeat of the universe. One tick, one frame, one projection. & between each tick there is a gap. A sub-Phurlon, sub-Phlash moment that no observer inside the Phenomena can ever see, because it is smaller than the smallest measurable length & shorter than the smallest measurable time. It is physically impossible to see between frames. So the Phenomena always appears to be in smooth, fluid, continuous motion. Not because it is continuous. But because the gaps are invisible. Reality feels seamless because we are inside the film & the cuts are too fast to catch.
The second idea was there from the moment I first saw the Phenomena. A structure made of stretching Phurlons & varying Phress was always going to produce regions of different density. Dense regions where Phurlons contract. Sparse regions where they stretch. That led to Phress, to gravity, to expansion & contraction. Different neighbourhoods of the Phenomena with different local geometries.
Then one day I looked at those two ideas sitting next to each other & something clicked.
Same Phlash cycle everywhere. Everything technically moving at ⚟ᶜ (c). But different regions have different Phurlon lengths. Which means the apparent speed of anything depends entirely on where you're watching from. & the size of who's watching.
We're all watching Steamboat Willie. Same film, same frame rate, same Mickey. But an ant watching Mickey thinks he's moving impossibly fast. A celestial body watching the same Mickey thinks, is that thing even moving? & some of us are in the back row of a vast cinema & Mickey is barely moving. & some of us are in the front row & Mickey looks like he drank too much caffeine & someone put a rocket in his boat.
Neither is wrong.
& that's when it hit me. This isn't just an interesting structural quirk. This is the reason relativity exists. Not a calculation of it. Not a mathematical framework describing it. The actual structural reason everything can travel at c & still appear to move at completely different speeds depending on who's watching. Einstein found the shape of it from the top down. I think PT finds the reason for it from the bottom up. & I found it by accident, sitting there wondering why the Phenomena looks smooth.
Every observer in the Phenomena is embedded in their own local Phurlon density. They read everything else relative to that. There is no view from nowhere. No neutral observer with a clipboard floating outside the universe. Every measurement of speed, every experience of time, every perception of motion is filtered through the Phluidity ≋ of where you're standing.
That's not a metaphor for relativity. In PT that is the mechanism of relativity. Einstein found it from the top down. But I saw how the PTM can explain it from the bottom up.
This one also crept up on me. & it started with a simple question. If different regions of the Phenomena have different Phurlon lengths, what does the very edge look like?
The answer came from Phractilation. The UnPhurling doesn't explode outward from a single point like a bang. It builds. Layer by layer, each Phenom at the Phrontier birthing new Phenomenon outward into the Phorum. & from the very first moment more than one Phenomenon existed, asymmetry was inevitable.
A fully interior Phenomenon receives Phress influence from neighbours on all sides. Balanced. But a Phenomenon at the Phrontier is fully formed & yet surrounded by neighbours only on its inner faces. The Phorum side has nothing. No neighbouring Phress pulling from outside. That imbalance is the origin of everything. The wobble of the membranes. The varying Phurlon lengths across the Phenomena. The density variance that gives rise to gravity, to Phluidity, to temperature. It didn't begin with stars or black holes or any large scale structure. It began the instant the UnPhurling produced more than one Phenomenon. From the very first moment new Phenomenon grew from the first, there was an inside & an outside. & that was enough.
The Phrontier today is the same story, just bigger. The outermost Phenomenon at the edge of the Big Build are the newest. The freshest frames. Being birthed right now into the Phorum. They receive the least Phress influence from neighbours & so have the longest Phurlons in the entire Phenomena. & because the UnPhurling rate is constant at 1 Phurlon per Phlash everywhere, those long Phurlons mean each tick of the Phlash cycle covers more apparent ground out there than it does in our dense interior region. From where we're standing, the Phrontier appears to be accelerating away from us. It isn't. The build rate is constant. It's Phluidity ≋ again. Same animator. Bigger steps at the Phrontier.
& those Phrontier Phenomenon, with their enormous stretched Phurlons, are the reason for wavelengths that are far, far, far, far infrared. Microwave & beyond. That's the CMB. Not an echo of a big bang. A live feed from the Phrontier of a big build.
We are the old region. The dense, compressed, ancient interior. & what we call the Cosmic Microwave Background is us finally receiving a postcard from our great great great... & on & on... grandchildren. Sent long before today's Phrontier even existed. & by the time we receive it, gazillions more grandchildren will have been born. The Big Build never stopped. It's happening right now. We're just too far away to ever fully witness it.
SP describes temperature beautifully in terms of particle motion & kinetic energy & statistical mechanics. But why does the electromagnetic spectrum exist as a scale at all? Why does more energy mean shorter wavelengths? Why can't you reach absolute zero? SP has the maths but not the reason.
PT just answered all three from the same mechanism. Phurlon length. That's it. The whole thermal scale, from the Phorum's true nothing to the gamma ray gut of a dying star, is just Phluidity expressed as wavelength.
I wasn't looking for temperature either.
I was following wavelengths. Long stretched Phurlons, far far far far infrared. Short contracted Phurlons, intense ultraviolet & beyond. & then I realised I'd been describing a temperature scale the whole time without calling it one.
Of course I had. The electromagnetic spectrum is a temperature scale. & in PT the electromagnetic spectrum is just Phluidity expressed as wavelength. The whole spectrum, from the most stretched Phurlons producing the longest coldest wavelengths all the way to the most contracted Phurlons producing the shortest most intense wavelengths, is Phluidity running from one end of its scale to the other.
Think about it from both ends.
At the cold end, sparse low Phress regions throughout the Phenomena have the most stretched Phurlons & the longest wavelengths. Far far far far infrared. Microwave & beyond. As cold as the Phenomena gets. & it never reaches zero. You can approach zero but you can never reach it from inside the Phenomena. Because absolute zero would require the complete absence of energy. & the complete absence of energy inside the Phenomena is structurally impossible. As long as a single Phenomenon exists, energy exists. The Phenomena doesn't do empty, only empty-ish.
At the hot end, minimum Phluidity, maximum Phress, Phurlons contracted to their shortest, the photon compressed almost back toward its 0P birth state, its ternary states almost uniting. The wavelengths are at their shortest & most intense. Ultraviolet, gamma & beyond. & it's no coincidence that SP observes gamma rays only at the most extreme ends of stellar violence. Supernovae. Stars on the verge of inversion. The moments when a star & its black hole belly are closest to switching sides. That's maximum Phress. That's minimum Phluidity. That's why the energy bursting out of those events is the most intense in the observable universe.
The only true zero is the Phorum. & the Phorum isn't cold. It isn't anything. It has no qualities. No temperature. No energy. No wavelength. Not zero degrees. Because if you think about it that would imply it was the end of a scale. But we know better. It's nothing.
So Phluidity isn't just the reason for relative motion & the illusion of speed. It's the thermal scale of the universe. From the longest coldest wavelengths at the sparse end to the shortest most intense wavelengths at the compressed end. The Phlash cycle ticks on regardless. & the Phorum sits outside the scale entirely because it has no qualities to measure.
I wasn't looking for temperature. It just hit me in the eye like a red hot poker once I saw it... or should I say gamma ray. Blindingly obvious!
I named it Phluidity before I noticed what I'd done.
Think about water. When it's ice it's rigid, locked, barely moving. Heat it & it melts, becomes fluid, flows. Heat it more & it becomes steam, moving freely in all directions. Heat it further & it becomes plasma, the most fluid state of all, pure energetic motion with almost no structural resistance. & go the other way, cool the steam, it condenses, cool the water, it solidifies, cool it further & it becomes more & more locked, less & less fluid, approaching but never reaching absolute zero.
That's the Phluidity scale. In both directions. Literally.
Low Phluidity, high Phress, short contracted Phurlons, tight structure. Solid. Increase Phluidity, Phurlons stretch, Phress eases, structure loosens. Liquid. Higher still, gas. Maximum Phluidity, plasma. & back the other way just as smoothly.
& then it hit me. Phluidity isn't just the illusion of smooth motion. or that motion & wavelength were temperature. But that heat changes the literal 'fluidity' of matter. These aren't three separate things with three separate explanations. They're one structure. One mechanism expressing itself at different scales & in different directions. The same process that makes reality appear to move smoothly also determines how hot something is & how fluid or solid it becomes as a result.
Which got me thinking. Maybe the reason unifying the fundamental forces has been so hard isn't because they need a clever enough theory to join them together. Maybe it's because they were never separate things to begin with. Not forces with mysterious origins requiring unification. Just effects. Structural observations of one thing behaving differently depending on where & how you're looking at it.
SP's maths is good. The measurements are real. Nobody is saying the car doesn't run. But there comes a point where squeezing more horsepower & fuel efficency out of an ICE car engine because you understand how it works stops making sense when an electric car is the solution to all your problems. You can't see that until you let go of the keys to what brought you here.
PT isn't trying to unify the forces. It's suggesting we let go of them entirely & look at what's actually underneath. & what's underneath keeps looking like one thing. Phluidity. Which is itself just Phress. Which is itself just the PTM & its ternary structure expressing itself as reality.
& I called it Phluidity because the illusion of smooth motion in the Phenomena felt like relative fluidity. I wasn't thinking about ice melting or metal cooling or water boiling or the literal fluidity of states of matter. The word just arrived.
Turns out it already knew what it was describing. Maybe if SP lets go of the snake, the rope & the wall it might be able to see the big elephant that's been warping their space & time all along.
A delusional person wouldn't question it. They would be 100% convinced they are right. My way of thinking is that there is close to 100% chance I'm wrong. But from what I see so far, even if there is a 0.00000000000001% chance of being right, I have the obligation to try. I can't provide the experiments or much of the maths. But I think I have seen a structure that explains the best of what we observe.
& here's the thing that terrifies me a little. I'm not trying to find ways to shoehorn physics concepts into PT. I'm not sitting here with a list of unsolved problems thinking how do I make my theory fit that. Physics keeps arriving uninvited. Every time I pull on the thread, more falls out. Like drunken monkeys falling out of trees. Effortlessly & unexpectedly & all at once.
Just on this page alone. I wasn't looking for the structural reason relativity exists. I found it by accident wondering why the Phenomena looks smooth. I wasn't looking for the mechanism behind cosmic expansion & why it appears to accelerate. It fell out of Phurlon density variance at the Phrontier. I wasn't looking for an explanation for the CMB. It was just what the most stretched region of the Phenomena looks like from where we're standing. I wasn't looking for temperature. It hit me in the eye like a gamma ray once I saw the wavelengths.
All of it. The same mechanism. Phurlon length variance. One variable. One dial. Speed, time, relativity, cosmic expansion, the CMB, the electromagnetic spectrum, temperature, absolute zero, gamma rays bursting from supernovae & the guts of black holes at Pinch Points. Different readouts. Same source.
How does one explain the fear of potentially being right about something of such importance to humanity. I struggle to answer that. But I feel the obligation to keep going. To show what I've seen as clearly as I can & let people smarter than me decide what to do with it.
I haven't scratched the surface of what else might fall out. A structural reason for consciousness. The origin of elementary particles. Even the quiet possibility that physics & metaphysics, science & Buddhism, might one day find themselves sitting comfortably on the same page without either one admitting defeat. That would be something.
& as I progress instead of things breaking, they come together, they unify & I keep getting signals to not stop pulling on those unraveling threads.... or Phibres :)
This is a throw away thought for now but it felt connected so I wanted to note it.
Since The Hobbit came out we started having arguments about frame rate. That if it's too high it looks too real & loses its magic. Then the same argument came back with motion smoothing on new TV sets, that creepy soap opera effect that makes everything look wrong even though technically it shouldn't.
I don't know exactly what it means yet but intuitively I feel like Phluidity & our comfort levels around refresh rates are touching on something deeper. We are calibrated to our local Phluidity. Show us something running at a different apparent rate & something primitive gets unsettled. Like an animal not understanding that the cats on the tv aren't real & getting agitated.
The discomfort might be a kind of role reversal. If what I'm looking at feels more real than my reality... am I in the box? Am I the simulation? Maybe not out loud or on any conscious level. Just a primitive unease that our simulations are treading too close to showing how easily our own reality could work the same way in mechanism.
I don't know where that leads yet. But it felt worth noting.
