Space is Not a Thing

Physics says space expands.
Expands into what?
Physics says: space.

Read that again.

That is not a koan. That is physics' official answer & has been for a long time. Most people feel the wrongness of it immediately, shrug, & go along with it. But Phen Theory doesn't.

Before you can build a model of everything you need to know what you are modelling. & before you can do that you need to separate the room from its contents. Physics never did. That oversight has been quietly breaking things ever since.

The word "space" is where it went wrong. We are taught it means empty. Yet space contains everything from galaxies & black holes to my chai tea stained bathrobe. It has become a word so loaded with contradictory meaning it can no longer do precise work. Physics asks it to be the container & the contents simultaneously. The expanding thing & the thing it expands into. Both. At once. & somehow this has been accepted as fine.

It is not fine.

The Phorum is the room. Passive, eternal, property-free. It has no boundary because a boundary would be a property & the Phorum has none. It cannot expand or contract because those are qualities & the Phorum has none. When a computer calculates nobody asks where that happens, there is simply an implicit void the process unfolds into & nobody worries it will run out. The Phorum is that. It has always been that. It just needed a name.

The Phenomena, the living expanding contracting structure of everything, moves within it.

That one separation, container from contents, resolves a class of paradoxes physicists have been quietly papering over for decades. What exists beyond the Phenomena? The Phorum. Does the Phorum have a boundary? No, because a boundary is a property & the Phorum has none. Does the Phorum affect what moves within it? No, because affecting something requires properties & the Phorum has none. Each question dissolves on contact.

This is not a subtle point buried in the mathematics. It is a foundational error sitting in plain sight & it has been there long enough. The Phorum is the correction. Simple, necessary, & long overdue.
