PT Symmetric Ternary
The Foundational logic of Phen Theory
& possibly the universe itself
Phen Theory Symmetric Ternary (PTST)

The plus & minus symbols are positioned on the outside edges to represent visually the directionality of the 1's positions. The 1's are not arithmetic values but symbolic, representing their role as part of a single ternary unit
We tend to think of polarity as simply + & -. But polarity can't exist without a body connecting the two poles. Saying you have a North Pole & a South Pole but no planet between them is meaningless. Even at the quantum scale, a body is required (1).
This is why PT uses PTST throughout. Every component & structure has the full ternary ⁻1 ←1→ 1⁺ structure baked in.
This could be represented many other ways visually or symbolically such as:
⁻1, 1, 1⁺ (Simple)
⁻1⁺ (Minimal)
− ─ + (Polarity/Numberless) - negative polarity, body/ superposition, positive polarity
− ψ + (Superposition structure) - negative, wavefunction, positive - a single structure of a superposition entanglement that is bookended with opposite polarities.
Core Principle:
All Phenomena exists in a special type of balanced ternary. A singular entangled body of superposition that mirror terminates into binary polarity
PTST as a Quantum Probability Engine
Quantum superposition tells us a system exists in multiple states simultaneously until observation forces a definite outcome. Wave function collapse is the moment that spectrum resolves to a single state. These are among the most experimentally verified & least intuitively understood phenomena in all of physics.
PT offers a structural reason for both.

PTST could be misread as a three-value system, as if ⁻1, 1, & 1⁺ are three separate choices on a menu. They are not. The PTST is not three things. It is one thing, described three ways.
Every position along this spectrum is part of the same object. The "1" at the centre is not a neutral midpoint or a resting state. It is the body & continuous interior of the PTST unit itself, the structural whole that the two poles belong to. ⁻1 and 1⁺ are two ends of the same thing.
Think of it less like a dial with three settings & more like a single rod that can be oriented across a continuous spectrum & observation or interaction collapses the continuous spectrum to one extreme (1⁺ or ⁻1). Until that collapse, every point along this spectrum is part of the same fully real object, a continuous “body” whose infinite shades of probability represent all potential states without pitstops at zero.
The PTST continuous spectrum from ⁻1 to 1⁺ is superposition made physical. All potential states are already present within the one object. There is no mysterious probability cloud hovering around a particle waiting to be summoned by an observer. The spectrum is the structure. The uncertainty is intrinsic, not imposed.
Observation collapses the symmetric ternary spectrum to one polar extreme, ⁻1 or 1⁺, but the PTST unit remains whole. Nothing is annihilated, its other states just go dark. Nothing passes through zero. The PTST simply resolves its orientation.
Wave function collapse in PT is not a paradox. It is simply what happens when the continuous spectrum is forced to declare an orientation.
The PTST is, in this sense, a quantum probability engine built into the structure of reality itself. Not a metaphor for superposition. A structural account of it.
Why there is no zero in PTST
Zero is a useful abstraction in mathematics but there is no zero or midpoint in PTST.
Unlike traditional balanced ternary logic where 0 is the centre, PTST has no midpoint fulcrum. At the quantum level there is nothing smaller than 1, no fractions. The 1 is the whole structure, the stretched photon. It is not a middle point or compromise between the ends. The ends are polarity, not parts. These end caps (⁻1, 1⁺) carry opposite half-spin.
If the ⁻1 & 1⁺ ends reunite, they don't cancel to zero. They re-form as the 1 (the 1P). & if that 1 returns to the Phen, the system collapses back into the Unobserved State, potential energy waiting to emerge again.
At the Planck (Phurlon) scale, if the smallest possible unit of reality had a zero at its midpoint, it would require the smallest possible thing in the universe to divide itself into something even smaller, which is a logical impossibility.
Setting the Stage -- The Unobserved State (ΦN)
Before projection there is no line, no space, no scale. Just unexpressed potential. This is the Phen (ΦN), not zero, not nothing, but the source from which everything emerges.
Zero is not a midpoint on a line. At this stage there is no line. ΦN is potential energy (No-thing) before projection. Like dark energy or dark matter, the Phen is not hidden, it is present but unobserved. It is not a centre between opposites; it is the source from which opposites emerge.
The Projection
When observed, the Phen becomes self-conscious. That act of observation causes it to split from potential energy into Potential & Energy. One state returns to being the unobserved potential (Phen), & the other becomes the observed energy, the photon (⚟).
Potential energy becomes potential (dark) + energy (light).
The photon at this stage is not a ball, it is a 1P (point). This marks the shift from a 0P Phen to a 1P projected state.
The photon then becomes self aware & separates not by splitting, but by elongating itself. This creates a Phield Phibre, a 2P line with two polar ends:
⁻1 end point
1 = the stretched body itself - Everything in between, infinite shades of probability along the same body
1⁺ end point
Not really a point any more, just a line between 2 points (⁻1, 1⁺).
A 'Ph'urry cat. No box, no poison
Schrodinger's Cat is a popular topic in quantum physics, so I will also describe PTST using a cat.
The 1⁺ is the cat's head & the ⁻1 is the cat's tail, so of course there is a body (1) between them. It would be absurd to think the cat was just a floating head & tail, with its body being a 0, nothing!!
The Phurry cat is also like a Phurlon, it can stretch & contract that 1 body. But it is always just 1 cat in length no matter how much it stretches or hunches
The Phurry Cat is a way to understand PTST: not ⁻1, 0, 1⁺ but ⁻1, 1, 1⁺.
If you see the cat from the front, the side or the rear, it's not 3 different cats. It's 3 observations of the 1 cat. Not 3 cat particles of a face particle, a body particle & a bum particle. Just 1 yawning, stretching Phurry cat.
So what SP sees as maybe 12 cats or many many more, PT sees as just 6 cats & a ghost cat.
(This isn't just a cute analogy....well maybe a little, but PT suggests SP's particle zoo may be the result of exactly this, observing the same underlying Phenomenon structure from different angles & calling each view a new particle.
