Imagine a room of infinite size (Universe) & an old fashioned switch that can be flicked & controls the lighting of the room. The source of light is irrelevant other than it is controlled by the switch. The switch is like a dimmer, at one end is full light at the other end is no light

Activity

Imagine yourself floating at the exact center of this room with eyes closed & the light switch in front of you. 

Remove all other forms of physics and phenomenon other than what is described here eg. no gravity, wind etc. 

You have no idea of your orientation to the switch other than you can reach it. 

You flick the switch and then open your eyes

Observation

Either:

• • There is infinite light & you can't see but feel the switch flicked to one side (Unsure which side)

  • There is no light & you can't see but feel the switch flicked to one side (Unsure which side)

  • The switch is stuck in the middle & there is an even amount of light, you are able to see the position of the switch & therefore know your orientation to it & the room (Universe)

Conclusions

There are 3 positions with 6 possibilities:

• Is on (Top or Bottom of Switch depending on orientation)

• Is on & off at the same time (Middle of Switch depending on orientation)

• Is not on & not off at the same time (Middle of Switch depending on orientation)

• Is off (Top or Bottom of Switch depending on orientation)

Speculations

If you read the previous ball bearing thought experiment you will see that this reinforces the model it first proposed. 

Once again imagine an octahedron, where;

• The 1 "top" vertex is the "on"

• The square middle of the octahedron has 4 vertex that is the "On+, Off+, On-, On+"

• The 1 "bottom" vertex is the "Off"

Suggests the octahedron has a polarity of a top light positive pyramid & a reverse bottom dark negative pyramid

Because the observer can be in any "potential" orientation it means that each of the 6 verticies of the octahedron could potentially be in any of the 3 positions (On, middle, off). Once again suggesting each is in a ternary bit state or a position along a 1 dimensional line coordinate of (1-, 0, 1+) 

There exists a "Goldilocks" position where there is both some light & some dark to enable us to know our coordinates or positioning. A middle path or position. But nothing can exist/be observed at the extremes. Like infinite density where nothing can freely move and infinite emptiness where there is nothing to move against, but a middle ground with some solidity & some space to allow observation & interaction within spatial coordinates
